The nose has Kirsch cherry, dried cranberry, spiced mulberry and a hint of red liquorice, with lovely savoury, earthy notes. The palate has an elegant structure with fine grained tannins and juicy acidity. Very moreish!

An exciting recent addition to the Black Cottage range, from New Zealand’s premium red wine region. The grapes for this merlot were hand harvested from the Crownthorpe Terraces sub-region of Hawke’s Bay. The wine was matured for 18 months before bottling.
