Notes
Very good intensity of flavour and aromatics this year, due to great fertility in the vineyards and late summer rains. Grapes were harvested in the early morning from vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. Lightly pressed, the juice was fermented cool, predominately in stainless steel to maximise fruit purity and distinctive varietal character. A small portion was fermented in concrete egg tank and clay amphora to add a grainy texture to the palate. The wine was then aged on light yeast lees for three months to gain complexity and increase mouthfeel.

Notes
The name Convergence signifies the coming together of flavours from our Wairau and Awatere Valley vineyards, and 2024 Marks, the 21st vintage.
The nose immediately captivates with a fragrant burst of citrus intertwined with bay leaf and a delicate hint of sea spray. This Sauvignon Blanc has a bright luminosity with a slight green-olive hue and flavours of guava, gooseberry, and preserved lemon peel, underpinned with delicate floral and herbaceous notes. The palate is powerful, concentrated, and energetic with a lingering, juicy, mouth-watering acidity, good balance, length, and purity of fruit.

Palate
The palate is well-balanced, a superb, juicy character that amplifies its vibrancy and energy. A subtle mineral backbone enriches the mid-palate, evoking the region’s unique terroir. Light, stony mineral nuances and a saline, salty edge enhance its textural finesse.
Bouquet
An enticing bouquet of bright capsicum, crisp snow peas, and luscious passionfruit, all beautifully enhanced by fresh mint, zesty lime, and refreshing cucumber.
